Mobile Engineer

 

Nar Technology is looking for a Mobile Engineer that has experience building iOS and Android apps using React-native. You’ll be converting ideas, designs, and requirements and translating them into concrete, stable production builds.  This role will require you to work closely with other engineers as well as work independently.  This role gives the opportunity to contribute to architectural and strategic product decisions with the client from concept to production with iterative development.     

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience building in either mobile platform/SDK/dev tools or mobile consumer-facing features.

  • Experience with modern Javascript, and package managers like NPM.

  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.

  • Experience with React-native.

  • Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state.

  • Hands-on experience with React tools like Webpack, Enzyme, React.js, Flux, and Redux.

  • Experience working with REST APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries.

  • Strong technical background with a track record of individual technical accomplishments.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Deep understanding of iOS and Android design principles.

  • Experience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java is a plus.

  • Familiarity with releasing applications to the Apple and Google Play stores.

  • Passion for the mobile technology space and update to date with the latest developments in the industry.

  • Agile management experience, primarily Scrum.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of engineers and other disciplines.

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject.

Full-Stack Engineer
Nar’s UI Team is looking for Full-Stack engineers for a new client. In this role, you'll be will be responsible for the core product platform, from frontend UI and testing, to APIs, low-level services, and database operations. You will work in close partnership with designers and product managers to build out new product offerings and tooling across a CMS platform.
Develop a CMS for writers, and sites for publishers. Be willing to jump into any part of the stack: API, Front end CMS, Sites templates, CDN, etc.

Scale the platform by tuning postgres queries, developing caching solutions, and building tooling for monitoring. Work with JavaScript, including Node/Express and React, and Postgres. It is not necessary to know Node and React already, but expertise in web architecture is absolutely necessary. Requirements

● At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
● Proficiency in English
● Can contribute across the full stack.
● Independent and autonomous. The client's team is split across several timezones. They don't micromanage, and expect that everybody holds their own.
● Clear and consistent communication. Again, they're a remote team split across several timezones. Your colleagues need to understand where you are with your work, and be informed on how to carry on from where you've left off.
